One of Zincubate’s top top picks for Project Management software, CentralDekstop has recently released new features to enhance its users communication and involvement with project and collaboration with the addition of numerous features including Polling, Seeing who is online, a new “My Collaborators” feature, and Workspace Observers.

Let’s discuss these features and throw in some images.

centraldesktop pollingThe Polling feature, introduced to gain feedback from users and collaborators is a quick way to get opinions on certain matters.  The generator of the poll can send out a poll email to all users involved who can either participate or pique interest, commit to do it at a later time, and then wind up forgetting about it and deleting it weeks later.

The Who’s Online feature is something we’re all familiar with, and glad to see implemented on Project Management software.  On your dashboard it shows you who’s online, along with their avatar and profile information.

My Collaborators is a ranking system where CentralDesktop calculates the most frequent people you collaborate with and the top eight people are displayed on the dashboard along with a personalized contact list.

The new Workspace Observers feature is a new permission level allowing users who need access to certain workspaces but aren’t active participators in the workspace.

In these these new features Central Desktops CEO and founder Isaac Garcia stated “We feel it is incredibly important to stay in close contact with our customers and collaborate with them on which features to add to our solution,” said Isaac Garcia, CEO and co-founder of Central Desktop. “The addition of these new features is a result of many conversations with our customers and reinforces our commitment to furthering Central Desktop’s user-centric model. Our goal is to provide our users with the functionality they need to work smarter and faster.”
