Wrike Introduces New Express Creation of Tasks

Wrike is one of the leading project management tools on the internet today, with many thousands of users spread worldwide. In today’s fast moving technological working environments, project teams need to work as efficiently as they can and any time saving features within their online project management application can make a significant difference to the.  Even saving a few clicks when updating or creating tasks, or removing the tedium from repetitive tasks can make a real difference! Wrike has, this month, introduced a new feature that lets its users create a group of tasks in a matter of seconds.

So, how does this new feature work?

Users can simply click the + New that sits at the bottom of the task list.  Enter the title for the task and press Enter.  Simply keep going adding new titles and pressing enter until all your tasks have been created!  No need now to complete the new task action and then start again from the beginning for each new one in the group you want to create.  New tasks created in this super quick way are ready in the background with a default duration of one day which means they can be handled as notes initially, whilst you decide who from your project team needs to be assigned to carry the task out.  The multiple editing feature in Wrike also allows users to assign a number of tasks to the same team member or, indeed, to schedule them for the same date. Combined, these features really do offer useful savings in time and effort for project team members.

Some quick hints:

You don’t need to scroll to the end of the task list to add a new task – Use Shift+Enter to put a new task at a point within an existing list.  This is particularly useful as the task will remain in the order you create it. So, if the list is sorted by priority, it will stay at that priority within the list – Simple!

If you need to update the title of a task, no need to open the task to make the change – simply press Enter to edit the title of your task inline, make your change and press Enter again to save the change.
