Gates Cambridge Scholarship 2023/24

For interested candidates looking to enroll and be eligible to earn the fully funded Gates Cambridge Scholarship for courses starting in the next academic year, postgraduate admissions at the University of Cambridge are now open.

You must fill out the application for admission to a course, a college place, and the Gates Cambridge portion of the funding section in order to be eligible for this funding program. When evaluating applicants, Gates Cambridge has access to the whole admission and grant application.

 How to Apply

A combined application form must be filled out by applicants. Through the university’s graduate application portal, candidates submit their applications for admission and financial aid (Gates Cambridge and other funds).

The entry or admission section:

You are requesting admission to a certain graduate program and a college position in this section. You will give the typical information about yourself, your academic history, your plans, and your suitability for the suggested course.

The section on funding:

You can submit applications for a variety of financial aid programs offered by the University and affiliated organizations in this section, including the Gates Cambridge Scholarships, which has its own subsection.

Document specifications:

You will need to submit the following information to be considered for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship:

• In the application form, we ask: “Please describe why you are applying for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship and how you fit the four primary criteria in no more than 3000 characters (about 500 words).” Visit gatescambridge.org for a complete description of the application process, including the selection criteria and instructions for completing this statement.”
• Only a research proposal must be submitted by Ph.D. candidates to Gates Cambridge in order to be considered for funding.
• Gates Cambridge applicants must also provide a reference regarding their compatibility with the scholarship in addition to two academic references for acceptance.
