Hot! Project Collaboration hits the Movies!

Tech Hunt, a Genesis Flux productions film produced by Divided Productions movie, is due for release this year.  Directed by Chris Cronin andTech Hunt1 featuring the impressive stunt horse team, Atkinson Action Horses, this low budget film is aiming for release later this year. Production on the movie began in March 2012 and to date, 6 days of filming have been completed.  It is anticipated that a further 3 days of filming will see completion.

As a low-budget film, the producers are looking for input to help fund the final 3 days.  The key day is the ‘Chase Day’ which will bring together over 30 horses and riders in an impressive display that will see the opening sequences of the movie being filmed with over 30 people on set.

With budget very tight, the producers are looking for help to finish the movie.  This is a relatively new way of funding activities, such as movies, music videos, etc and sees fans and supporters able to contribute to development of artistic media through donation websites.  The additional funding that the Tech Hunt producers are seeking will help cover expenses for the extras and insurance costs for the live horses and action sequences, along with hiring a remote heli octocopter & slomo camera for the horse chase scene to give it the blockbuster edge it deserves.

With the coordination of over 30 riders from all over the UK, the production crew needed to be sure they could keep everyone informed in a timely way.  The weather at the back end of 2012 saw last minute postponements of the ‘Chase Day’ filming and it was vital to make sure that kona main screeneveryone got the message.  Being far from IT specialists, one of the riding extras, who is a project manager, suggested the use of Kona.  Although there are a multitude of collaborative applications on the market, such as, Campfire, AtTask, to name just a couple, as a free online application, Kona certainly suited the budget needs for this low-cost production. A free account was set up and all the riding extras were given logins.  The online calendar was used to keep up to date information on any changes to filming days, and the producers were sure everyone was getting the right information.

  1. My partner and I absolutely love your blog and find almost all of your post’s to be exactly what I’m
looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content available for you?
I wouldn’t mind writing a post or elaborating on a lot of the subjects you write about here.
    Again, awesome web site!

  2. Learning to make beats and songs consists of a few key points:
. In honor of Midnight Memories, One Direction is releasing
a new song every two days leading up to the album’s release.
Keep listening to your collection of songs for heart stomping music.

  3. There are quite a few different tools in the marketplace. If you want to take a comprehensive view, there is a buyer’s guide that was put out by Binfire that is vendor neutral.
